Welcome
The Governor's Prayer Team is a nonpartisan,
nondenominational all volunteer
organization that respects the burden of responsibility on
those in leadership. As citizen's we feel it is our civic
responsibility to uphold these leaders in prayer as Gods
instructs us in
1
Timothy 2:1-6, 8 NIV
Instructions On Worship
1I
urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers,
intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone– 2for
kings and all those in authority, that we may live
peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
3This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4who wants
all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the
truth. 5For there is one God and one mediator between
God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6who gave himself as
a ransom for all men–the testimony given in its proper
time.
8I want men everywhere to
lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or
disputing.
We would be grateful if you
would
consider participating with us in this ministry. This can be
as simple as taking time to pray for those in your circle
while on your morning commute. Yet for others they maybe
asking a few friends to get together for an hour of prayer
once a week on a conference call. You may even come to find
yourself feeling released into ministry and begin to
discover your spiritual gifts of intercession, faith,
leadership, teaching and encouragement.
It is a wonder to
witnessing those from across the counties of our states
gathering locally and becoming informed and then converging
as one body in their state as a reawakened church poised to act
as one body, one voice and as a light to which others can
follow.
